Good food. Good people. Good year. Wrap up the year at an excellent dining experience with the people that mean the most to you.

Maxie’s is accepting reservations for parties of all sizes for Sunday, Dec. 31 — 414-292-3969. We’re open our regular hours, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Kid’s meals are just $2 and you can decide later at home if they get to stay up ’til midnight. We’ll have our 4-pc. Fried Chicken Special — a perfect pairing for Champagne!

Maxie’s is closed on New Year’s Day, Monday, Jan. 1, 2018.

Winner: Fried Chicken Dinner

chickenfried1

We went to work on creating the best fried chicken we could make to serve on Family Night Sundays and Chicken-Fried Tuesday. That starts with the chicken.

We’re using Bell & Evans chicken, which is renowned for its humane treatment and air-chilled process, with no antibiotics or added water, which adds up to healthier, more flavorful food. We created and taste-tested different batter to find the tastiest crust, with crispiness that sticks well to the chicken. And we know you’ll want plenty to eat, so we’re serving a half chicken: a leg, a thigh, a breast, and a wing.

Pair that up with our mashed potatoes and collard greens, plus a white cheddar buttermilk biscuit, and you’ve got yourself one helluva meal for 16.95. Bring the kids on Sunday night, and enjoy $2 kids meals for children under 12 accompanied by an adult. If you want to make the whole thing “hot chicken”-style, get it tossed in our Nashville-style hot chicken cayenne oil for two bucks.

Fried-Chicken-Tuesday

If you want to try the Nashville hot chicken flavor without committing to a whole meal, stop by Maxie’s on Chicken-Fried Tuesday to try our Hot Chicken Nuggets, with our Nashville hot sauce coating dark meat chicken over Texas toast, topped with our house pickles. And expect to see other creative chicken specials every Tuesday.

As always, proceeds will go to support Hunger Task Force – Free & Local. With your generosity, our Derby Day party has raised more than $10,000 last year, and more than $30,000 in the last four years, to prevent hunger by providing food to people in need.

Milwaukee Oyster Roast featuring Maxie’s

Oyster-Roast-2017-poster

Join us on Saturday, April 1, for a unique culinary experience bringing the best of the Low Country to Milwaukee. The Milwaukee Oyster Roast benefits the Wisconsin Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by hosting a party you could otherwise only experience in South Carolina.

It’s an all-you-can-eat roast of cluster oysters — 3,000 to 4,000 pounds of the rocky bunches of sweet, briny, baby oysters shipped from the coast and roasted. Maxie’s is shucking fully grown raw East Coast oysters to round out the total oyster experience. Maxie’s is also serving a buffet of Low Country-inspired party food, featuring Eastern North Carolina Pulled Pork, Jambalaya, Charred Corn Mac ‘n Cheese, Veggie Hoppin’ John, 7-Layer Salad, Cornbread, Key Lime Pie, Bourbon Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Banana ‘Nilla Wafer Cream Pie Parfait.

Milwaukee staple Evan Christian and the New South Rampart Street Paraders will help rock the roast! And a silent auction and raffle will help the cause … look for the WHEELBARROW OF BOOZE, and gallons of Sprecher beer! All of this at a brand new event space on the river in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward.

Tickets are $100 each. Use code “Maxies17” for 25% off your Milwaukee Oyster Roast 2017 tickets today!
